The Global Heart Foundation and Just Like My Child Partner

The Global Heart of Integrative Coaching (www.theglobalheart.org) founded and chaired by New York Times best-selling author and renowned speaker, Debbie Ford, is a nonprofit organization committed to building schools and bringing transformational skills to communities worldwide.

Through its coaching and support network, The Global Heart is raising funds to support Just Like My Child Foundation's educational initiatives on the ground.

The first joint project of the two organizations will be to develop the Children's Academy of the Global Heart - and educational system for the children of Kiwanula, Uganda, a very remote village with a surrounding community of 30,000 people. The children of this community are at extreme risk; many are orphaned, the HIV rate is over 30% and there is no adequate educational facility. The research is clear: children in circumstances like this, especially girls, die without education. Debbie Ford's son, Beau Bressler, in a remarkable Bar Mitzvah commitment, has raised a significant portion of the funds necessary for this project. Just Like My Child Foundation will work with the community to teach optimum building skills, build a school, build staff housing, build latrines and provide access to clean water, adequate health care, and ensure the long-term sustainability of the project.

The Global Heart of Integrative Coaching will work with Just Like My Child staff and community leaders on the ground to create the in-depth curriculum and teacher training that will inspire a transformation in the way that primary school education is perceived and performed.

Together, the organizations will take this model and prototype to create numerous educational systems in the broader community over the next five years.
