At the Just Like My Child Foundation, we are painfully aware of the critical need for immediate improved health care in Uganda. And we understand that in order for a developing country to rise to its true potential, raise young, ambitious leaders, and become a contributing member to the global economy, the spread of disease must stop. And it can. The resources, the capacity, the training, and the knowledge is all in place. In Uganda, it has become clear that many of the lifesaving tools that are needed are very simple to locate and put to use, but the money for their acquisition is simply not available.

Currently we are working on several initiatives at the Bishop Asili Hospital which include building a surgical suite, providing malaria and AIDS/HIV education to adults, and distributing life-saving medicines and resources, such as ARV treatment for HIV/AIDS and bed nets to prevent malaria.
