At the Just Like My Child Foundation, we are painfully aware of the critical need for immediate improved health care in Uganda. And we understand that in order for a developing country to rise to its true potential, raise young, ambitious leaders, and become a contributing member to the global economy, the spread of disease must stop. And it can.

The resources, the capacity, the training, and the knowledge is all in place. In Uganda, it has become clear that many of the lifesaving tools that are needed are very simple to locate and put to use, but the money for their acquisition is simply not available.

Together with Bishop Asili Hospital in rural Uganda, we are currently working on several healthcare initiatives: Providing Malaria and HIV/AIDS education to adults, distributing life-saving medicines and resources (such as ARV treatment for individuals with HIV/AIDS and insecticide-treated bed nets for Malaria prevention) and we are nearing completion of Bishop Asili's first surgical suite!
